Volunteer Meetings
Regular meetings give volunteers a chance to learn, ask questions, hear from guest speakers, and stay connected to Memphis Crime Beat's work.

Community Engagement
Connecting Memphians with the people, information, and conversations that shape our criminal-justice system.
MCB IN THE COMMUNITY
Understanding the system starts with access and conversation.
Memphis Crime Beat creates opportunities for volunteers and community members to hear directly from people working throughout the criminal-justice system, ask questions, and better understand how decisions are made.
Our monthly volunteer meetings, community outreach, and educational partnerships complement Court Watch and data analysis by connecting the information we collect with the people who live and work in Memphis.
Community Outreach
We connect with neighborhood groups, colleges, students, and community organizations to make criminal-justice information more accessible.
Education & Conversation
By bringing people closer to the system, we help turn public information into practical understanding and more informed community participation.
